Crochet News in Tulsa, OK:
Local yarn store, Stitches, located at 5948 S. Lewis in the London South Shopping Center in Tulsa, OK, has recently acquired a new crochet teacher…ME!
Stitches announced that they will be staying open later one day a week beginning this week on Thursday, September 30. They ordinarily close at 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, but will stay open until 8:00 pm on Thursdays.
I am putting together a small crochet class for this Thursday at 6:00 for about an hour or so where I will teach the basics of beginning crochet and then get you started on a crochet project of your very own. The smaller class size ensures plenty of one-on-one time to coach you along on your new skills.
The cost of the class is $15 plus about $5 to purchase the yarn and hook needed to complete the class project. (You can bring your own size H crochet hook if you have one.) I’ll have the pattern for you and if you don’t know how to read a crochet pattern yet, that OK, I’ll teach you that, too!
(Update to this news flash: As of October 2010 I am working and teaching at Loops Yarn Store in Tulsa. Check out the Classes link each month for my scheduled crochet classes.)
