Once and once again!

When it comes to “frogging” a crochet project that either isn’t turning out the way I had planned or that needs to be repurposed in some way, I have no problem with that at all. My husband on the other hand, really cringes when he sees me take an item that I may have worked quite a while on and completely unravel it. He says, “I just don’t see how you can do that!”
Personally, I’d rather take something apart and do it over than to end up with a sub-par finished project. And I enjoy the process, so it’s not so terrible to start over when needed. (Why is it called frogging? Because you rip-it, rip-it, rip-it!)
Recently I frogged a lovely little piece that I created for my grand daughter, only because it had outlived its usefulness and needed a new purpose. The following photo is little Josie at two weeks old in her pod that was created for her first portraits. It is made from just one skein of a lovely synthetic yarn from Kertzer called Marble Chunky.

Well, Josie is no longer that teeny tiny 6 lb. infant. Now she’s a bubbly, bouncy 4-month-old so I took her little pod, frogged away, and created a little 20” x 20” stroller blankie (that she loves to cuddle with, yay!)

Once I saw how nicely that yarn worked up into a thick and cozy blanket, I decided to pick up some blue and make another one for my good friends new grand baby who was just born a week ago today.

Here are the two new little buddies, Josie and Kylan, with their new matching blankies. Babies are just so sweet!
